Dialogue: A tool for the business progress. Companies are what people make of them, and they are constituted by the quality of dialogues their members are capable of sustain. This is why we must take care of the way we dialogue in companies, in order to know the organizational health.
We shall pay attention to the way the members of the organization listen to each other, and how they do it. What they talk about and what they keep with them, say a lot of the organization.

A little time ago, I visited a company where people rather to be silent considering the consequences they will have for what they may say.
The Business Philosopher Fernando Flores, establishes that an organization is a conversation net. If this is true, it is as healthy as its conversation is.
The dialogue is a health tool of the companies and we must ask ourselves: What is the education we have received for improving our capacity for conversing? Do we know how to dialogue in the company?
We just mentioned that people rather to be silent in order not to suffer the consequences of talking, but they also are silent since they do not know how to converse, to listen, to prepare a dialogue or a conversation.
Since the organizations are headed to empowerment, we know that this is not the right scenario for a productive dialogue. That person who wants to be the owner of the truth does not have any intention of having a dialogue. This is related to the defense of h/her assumed position, which is fiercely defended due to the lack of flexibility.
This inflexibility is shown, for example, hiding or retaining information or even attacking the “weakest” persons to make them not to express.
Another enemy of dialogue, in organizations, is the rhetoric, the wordy way of talking. When a person uses verb to confuse other people, this person does not want to dialogue but to manipulate them.
Dialogue is an expression of organizational love, which is very mentioned in the late time, peaceful cohabitation and respect, all those very defended by the members of the organization, since they are related to their freedom and happiness.
Organizations build common meanings through dialogue. This is how they get everybody going in the same direction and sense, building together the purpose as well as the way to get it in the organization. When employees cooperate and work in team, they develop the dialogues that allow them to coordinate actions in order to efficiently execute the corporate mission.
We can see the collective thought in the organizations by observing the dialogues carried out by its people. This avoid getting into irresolvable conflicts, it is a tool for the education and background as well as transformation and change.
